About lessons

I read English Literature with a French module at Durham University. I studied English Literature, French and Government & Politics at A level. I also did History AS and an EPQ on the extent to which Christopher Marlowe influenced Shakespeare's works, looking at Edward II, Richard II, Romeo and Juliet, and Hero and Leander. I have been tutoring English and French for three years now. At Durham, I enjoy reading a myriad of literature concerning Drama, Poetry, the novel, Classical and Biblical works and English: language, use and theory.

I am fluent in French and have been playing the piano since I was 5 years of age. I have been tutoring English, French, Piano and other disciplines for nearly 5 years.

Lessons

I carry out my lessons on Zoom/Google Meet and structure lessons based upon what a student needs help with, so we can work together to achieve your full academic potential. I understand the demands of academia and from experience tutoring know it may be challenging for a student to grasp a concept, but with maximum effort this can be easily fulfilled. English and French are best mastered through helpful guidance as essays can be very subjective. Unlike the Sciences or Maths, for example, there is no clear formula. Throughout my lessons I hope not only for you to see noticeable rise in your grades, but to start to enjoy and develop your appreciation for literature as it is meant to be received.

I always do a free 15 minute introductory meeting with prospective students. Lessons last for one hour. For prices, please contact me.
